Hi,I am Jeremy Buxton,known as MrJDB here on the blog and THEjdb360 on Xbox LIVE. I am 28 years old,I have been gaming for over 20 years now,with the first system I played video games on being the NES. Through the years I was what you would call a Sega fanboy,I owned all of the Sega systems,the master system,Genesis,Saturn and Dreamcast. I was quite crushed when I heard the news that Sega was pulling out of the hardware business. I didn't know where to turn for my gaming fix. I didn't like Sony and Nintendo just didn't have the games that were my type. So later that year at E3 when Bill Gates unveiled the original Xbox,I knew that this would be the system of choice for me.
So now here we are in 2008 and we have the Xbox 360 to keep us gamers oops excuse me,us AVG gamers entertained. About 2 years after owning the Xbox 360 I decided I wanted to start blogging about my passion,Xbox 360 gaming. So I later formed the blog THEjdb360. THEjdb360 Xbox 360 blog unfortunately did not see alot of success,it just got lost in the sea of all of the bigger more fancier blogs and gaming sites out there. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to shut that blog down and start a new project,a project that goes in the direction that alot of the bigger sites will not go,and that direction is putting the average gamer first. So The AVG Gamer Xbox 360 Gaming Blog was born.
What The AVG Gamer does is that it puts you,The AVG gamer first. It gives avg gamers out there what they want first,which is the top news stories for their favorite console or game along with videos and some reviews of Xbox 360 games. And that is it. At The AVG Gamer,I promise not to fill your head with useless random talking or hip hop music (with the exception of the Music Video of the week,but it's not hiphop),or constant swearing. While the other blogs and gaming sites do that,The AVG Gamer will stay focused on what Xbox 360 gamers really want,information on the Xbox 360,it's games and Xbox LIVE,nothing more,nothing less.
